Why the model is not included in the flyers?
Quite often, we are asked why we do not include models in the flyer templates. There are a number of reasons why we avoid it and this article is going to explain why.
Stock images
There are many websites, which offer stock photos, like http://www.istockphoto.com, http://www.shutterstock.com, https://www.pexels.com/, etc. When we take their photos and use in a PSD flyer template, we agree to follow the “regular license”, which limits using of the photo. We can use a photo for previewing only and we are not available to leave the photo in our flyers. In this case, we would break an agreement and have troubles.
Extended license
There is an option to keep the photo experiencing no bad consequences at all – buy an “extended license” that allows us not remove the photo, but it would greatly increase the price of a high quality PSD flyer. Moreover, the license still requires us to introduce certain changes, because reselling the image “as is” with an editable flyer template is restricted.
Uniqueness of flyers
People buy party flyers, like birthday flyers. Using flyers for promoting events, a person wants their photo on a flyer, they do not need a photo of another person and consequently they do not have to pay for it. The same is true for flyers that promote musicians.
